Playing Bass

Gettin’ in the ‘Groove’!

– Bass Practice Songs –

Below is a list of songs that I’m practicing playing my bass to.  Some are simple bass riffs while others are a bit more involved. I very rarely play the same riff twice for any song, and change how I play it dependent on how I feel at the time.  I enjoy doing this as it helps to keep my mind and body active and alert by forcing me to listen for chord and melody changes within each song  – especially at the “somewhat youthful” age of being just on the “South Side of 70″,…. and having already having had a pacemaker (yup, I’m a “Cyborg”) installed in 2019…

Playing music is just so damn cool!!  It’s a great hobby and provides plenty of satisfaction and enjoyment.  This, along with my passion for building firearms, reloading ammunition, cutting firewood, hunting deer, and maintaining our property helps to keep me well rounded and active…  A GREAT retirement!

Items with red numbers indicate songs that I have recorded bass lines for, and have also incorporated the bass lines into the original song.
