I thought it would be fun to post a new song to the blog every Friday. What better way to finish a work week (even though Connie and I are retired) and start the weekend then to enjoy a true classic from Glenn Miller and his Orchestra.
ENJOY!!
9/20/19 – This Friday’s song selection is kinda ‘Special’ since Connie and I will be celebrating our 41st anniversary tomorrow! As such, I’ll be uploading TWO songs!

The first is “Welcome to My World”, a 1964 Country Classic performed by Jim Reeves. This was the song I played for Connie after she accepted my proposal back in November of 1977.
The next is a true 40’s big band hit again by Glenn Miller that fits our special occasion. Moonlight Serenade is just one of those songs that you just can’t help slow dancing to!
I didn’t know you liked Big Band. Karin loves it!
Love the sounds of the 40’s!! The music was so upbeat for a time when the entire world was at war… George Patton always said that the M-1 Garand was the rifle that won WWII. I have to believe that a larger contribution to that win was the music that was being made and played at home in order to provide positive attitudes in all America.
